One thousand gifts (part three)

I continue the wonderful experience of counting my life's blessings, linking to Ann Voskamp's gratitude community:

I am grateful also for:
39. on 23rd of February I was blessed for the 2nd time in my life to hold a positive pregnancy test
40. on 26th of February I have heard from my gynecologist that the embryo is well placed and: "look, there is cardiac activity"
41. around 05th of May I started to feel baby's movements
42. on 18th of May, after some days of self-induced stress, as I wasn't feeling baby moves, the gynecologist confirmed once again that everything is fine and that "it's a girl! 100% sure."
43. there, in the consulting room I heard Adrian saying "may SHE be healthy!", in the purest frustration-free voice, although he hoped for a boy for the 2nd time
44. echographs
45. Ilaria's tenderness, when I point out to my belly and I ask her to hug and kiss the little baby from inside
46. the beautiful woman that reminded me to pray when I am overwhelmed
47. the smell in my kitchen, when roasting eggplants for salad
48. daydreaming of a holiday
49. a new haircut
50. warm days of spring
51. friends who encourage me to make changes ( million thanks, Luminiţa! she's the girl behind my new haircut :-) )

Have a blessed week!
Raluca

I also have one gift but please allow me to count it as one hundred (at least). It's about Ilaria who was so excited to see me after one week of absence that I was impressed about how much can you get by doing so less...

I came over from Ann's blog. So glad that I chose yours as now I can congratulate you on your pregnancy. How very exciting!

Blessings and love,
Debbie

PS. I love the photo you chose when you linked on Ann's blog. I used to have cards with that photo and loved them. The baby and older person's hands are so beautiful.

Raluca, I hearted this list – thank you – congratulations on your pregnancy – and my favorite one from your list is this one – 51. friends who encourage me to make changes – we need people to come alongside us, and challenge us, and nudge us forward with love sometimes – friends like this are important. God bless and keep you and all of yours Raluca.

Hello dear Raluca, I just wanted to congratulate you too, on your pregnancy and on your sweet little sunshine Ilaria, she is such a beautiful child! ...and I wanted also to tell you, you are a source of inspiration for me.. But unfortunately I don’t have the strength and the courage to take control over my life and finally do the things that I want, things that are important for me and my family, things that make me happy.. I still am forced to live a life I never wished for… and it is hard for me to find things I can be thankful for… although I know I have much more than others do… But there is, however, a tiny little wonder in my life that gives me strength every day - my little girl, my sweet little princess, 2 months younger than yours... - and I only hope that I will always be able to be a good mother for her…
Congratulations once again and have a happy pregnancy! This is such a wonderful experience, I miss mine… All the best to you and your family!

I heart your thank you lists! I always choose a favorite from a thank you list – this time there's a first and a second place. Second place to your daughter kissing the baby – I heart that! And first – the last one – friends who nudge you in love - to make changes. I could use a few of those – nudging, loving friends. I'm glad you have them. God bless you – and God bless and keep each and every one of yours Raluca.

Dear Lonely Heart,
thank you for reading and commenting on my blog! Thank you for appreciations! I am so happy to hear that my blog is a source of inspiration for you!
I've read yesterday your comment and my heart went out to you. Although it's said we were gifted with free will, many days I also feel we are living the lives that were written for us, not the ones we are wishing for.
But even so, we are so gifted! Just start to write down your gratefulness list and you will be thrilled to see how blessed you are!
For the beginning think of big things you have in your life:
- food - think about poor people
- water - think about people of Africa
- child - think about sterile couples
- life - think about so many dying young...
and for sure you have many more blessings in your life. I don't know your situation, but I hope you also fulfill the Romanian saying: "I am health so I am rich! (Sanatatea-i bogatatea.)"
I'd love to hear and know more about you, as
"If I can stop one heart from breaking,
I shall not live in vain;
If I can ease one life the aching,
Or cool one pain,
Or help one fainting robin
Unto his nest again,
I shall not live in vain."
(Emily Dickinson)
I wish you all the best!!
Kisses,
Raluca
